Porsche has teamed up with various airlines to print QR codes on the back of boarding passes. Passengers who scan the 2-D barcodes via their mobile devices will be directed to a customized page promoting the latest Porsche models featuring videos and other information about the luxury cars. In addition, Porsche will also enable consumers to request a test drive at a local Porsche dealer via the 2-D barcodes. Josh Cherfoli, online and relationship marketing manager at Porsche Cars North America, say that these efforts will target first-class, business-class and luxury vacation travelers. The company has experimented with QR codes before - their latest campaign involved employing QR codes to promote their electric concept vehicles.
